Ran my marathon today, didn't go as planned, IT band decided to give me the big FU and it was way hotter than expected. I did manage a 28 minute PR but fell short of qualifying for Boston with my 3:34:13. The first half was fantastic, ran it in 1:37 and everything felt great and on track, then it all just kind of fell apart. Oh well, I will look at other races, or not.

I know the guy who won it in 2:48:47 and he had said the heat got to him too, he was around 10 minutes off what he expected as it's a generally fast course. He went 2:40 and some seconds at Boston this year. Lots of others I know really struggled in the heat this year, although we have had some hot days, it's hasn't been this warm so early. Lows have been in the 40's, race start was near 60 and just climbed from there.
