3) newbie, although I've been a runner and after completing 3 half marathons, decided I'm rather bored with just running. Tri seems challenging...er, over-whelming...at least I'll never be bored!

But seriously, I've wanted to get into tri for a few years and just never thought I'd be able to find the time to train. I can't imagine how much more intimidating it would be if I wasn't already comfortable in one of the three sports. I'm registered for my first sprint on June 28 and so far, the training is going really well. It's actually easier than half-marathon training, anyway.
